ABOUT THE ROLEThe Talent Acquisition Team is growing! We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our small team to support with the coordination of talent acquisition activities, and providing specialist support with the end to end recruitment process to drive our long term vision, whilst also supporting with the short term needs of the organisation. You will support with various projects and liaise with hiring managers at various levels to deliver a seamless service.You will take part in various outreach activities, events, and provide direct talent sourcing solutions, making use of our tools and resources, whilst also being innovative in your approach to find new solutions to fill our roles and meet our objectives.Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Mondays in central office, one or more days in our services, with work from home on the remaining days in the week.
Some events may fall outside of core working patterns and you will therefore be able to take time off in lieu or have flexible work arrangements for that day.Location: We are based a 10 minute walk from Highbury and Islington station, Angel station is a 15 minute walk awayABOUT OUR TEAMThe Talent Acquisition team is currently a team of two, a Talent Acquisition Coordinator and Talent Acquisition Partner who you will be reporting to. The wider P&C team includes the generalist team, Workforce Development, and Talent Development. We are looking for someone who can provide solutions and think innovatively to support continuous improvement and the effective delivery of our service.OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIESRECRUITMENT AND SELECTION

  • Support with achieving our KPIs, reducing vacancy rates, and increasing our direct hires.
  • Proactively support with sourcing quality candidates directly, through new initiatives and ideas to support with the attraction of high quality candidates.
  • Continuously develop and utilise our job platforms, including job posting sites, cv databases, social media channels, and other networking platforms.
  • Support with posting and enhancing our job adverts and job descriptions so they are attractive and drive engagement.
  • Support with creating an inclusive recruitment process, support with any needs candidates may have which could include application support, interview accessibility support, and any other support which may be required to ensure we have an inclusive recruitment culture and process.
  • Support with the overall management, building, and improving of our Talent bank pool and initiatives.

OUTREACH AND EMPLOYER BRAND

  • Represent Social Interest Group and our subsidiaries in various outreach activities and support with all aspects of enhancing and developing our employer brand.
  • Make regular visits to our services and represent the wider people and culture team in the service.
  • Carry out all types of research-based activities as appropriate to identify new opportunities to support with attracting new candidates and maximising our employer brand awareness.
  • Organise, manage, and attend various events and outreach activities.
  • Build engagement and relationships with local and national organisations.

COORDINATION

  • Provide specialist support to end-to-end recruitment and administration, supporting hiring managers with all aspects of their hiring needs.
  • Day to day management and oversight of our ATS, supporting with ad hoc enquiries and support, ensuring candidates are moved through the process effectively, hiring manager actions are completed, and ensure audit trails and notes are clear and to a high standard throughout the process.
  • Promote best practice and safer recruitment throughout the recruitment process and actively seek candidate feedback to improve the candidate experience.
  • Consult and engage with hiring managers on a regular basis to fully understand their needs and support them with all aspects of talent acquisition, in a timely and consistent manner.

ADDITIONAL

  • System Management: Take some degree of ownership of the ATS, resolve challenges, and liaise with our provider on a regular basis.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider P&C team and support with various other activities and developments. This can include but is not limited to, Onboarding, Employer Value Proposition, Workforce Development, Employee Lifecycle support, Talent Development, and other areas within the wider team.
  • Support business growth in hiring new talent to the organisation, liaise with relevant people and departments to support recruitment forecasts and planning metrics.

Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position.KEY CRITERIAWhat we are looking for:

  • Previous experience/depth knowledge of end-to-end recruitment/in a similar role/in agency or in-house recruitment
  • Experience in consulting others, an ability to provide advice and guidance in line with employment law and equality acts
  • Previous experience in headhunting and creating new initiatives to further successful recruitment campaigns
  • IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, advanced knowledge in Microsoft, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability and willingness to attend regular visits to our different service locations

What we would like, but not essential:

  • Previous experience managing and developing an employer brand
  • Working knowledge and experience managing an Applicant Tracking System or HR System
  • Professional Qualification in a relevant discipline for example: Human Resources, Business Management, Marketing
  • Experience in a similar size organisation and/or charity sector organisation
