The Role

You will also be expected to participate in consultancy, pursuing opportunities that will generate income and support students with placements. You will be expected to engage in pastoral care of a diverse range of students, academic leadership, management and administration and to develop your research potential and professional practice.The Person
You will hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant engineering discipline. A recognised teaching/learning qualification and a PhD would be an advantage. If you haven’t already achieved the relevant level of UKPSF recognition, we’ll need you to do so before the end of your probation period through our accredited Introduction to Learning and Teaching or Kingston Academic Practice Standards Framework.You will need to show passion for delivering high-quality teaching using innovative active learning strategies with high practical hands-on contents. Work experience in applied artificial intelligence and intelligent control and ability to teach with simulation packages and hardware will be advantageous.On a personal level, you will need to show passion for delivering high-quality teaching using innovative active learning strategies with high practical hands-on contents. You will need to demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills as you are expected to work within a team. You will also need to be flexible, willing to learn, adaptable and able contribute to other areas within the department.The Faculty
We have a dedicated campus for our aerospace, aircraft and mechanical engineering courses at Roehampton Vale, on the outskirts of Kingston town centre and close to Richmond Park.
