Platinum Recruitment is working in partnership with a one of Berkshire’s most exclusive 4 star hotels, situated in Buckinham, and we have a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Sous Chef to join their team.

What’s involved?

As the Junior Sous Chef, you will work as part of a small team of 4 chefs, assisting the Sous Chef and Head Chef in both culinary and administrative tasks. You will help with the running of the kitchen, contributing to the overall success of the restaurant and C&B operation, and ensuring company and hotel standards are met at all times

As an experienced chef, you will demonstrate excellent knife skills and proper food handling procedures at all times, properly wrapping, labelling, dating, and storing all food items in their correct areas. You will ensure your workstation is kept clean at all times during service and be an organised individual, able to work under pressure and to deadlines and targets set.

You will be responsible for the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes whilst ensuring consistency in that section and that set ticket times are met. You will also assist in other sections when required and will assist in the training of junior chefs you work with, demonstrating proper knife skills and food handling procedures.

A positive ‘can do’ attitude is essential, as well as the ability to work both as part of a team and alone. You will also be a well-organised person, able to work under pressure.
