The Registration Service is seeking to recruit a Registration Officer on a casual/pool basis to work during peaks in service and cover absences.Middlesbrough Council is committed to providing a quality Registration Service with a customer focus. You may need to be available to work at short notice and the ability to work weekends is essential.Under the Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages Regulation 1968 the following categories of people are disqualified from being a registrar: non-Discharged bankrupts, Authorised Persons, Secretary of Synagogues or Registering Officer for Society of Friends, Ministers of Religion, Medical Practitioners, Midwives, Undertakers or persons involved in the burial or cremation business, and anyone engaged in the business of life insurance.For an informal discussion about the position, please contact Sarah Teece on 01642 729452.The above post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
