We are working with the Senior Leadership Team of a well known cost consultancy, recruiting an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor for their Dublin office.. The candidate should have previous experience within a cost consultancy firm, assisting in the management and delivery of projects through the various stages of construction.Why Apply with Sonas?

The successful applicant will work within a team and be involved in a number of projects simultaneously. OBJ have a strong line of new and existing projects across a range of sectors including health, retail, residential, commercial, cultural and tourism & hospitality. The successful candidate should be familiar with current industry regulations and have an understanding of how project budgets & timelines are managed to ensure the commercial success of projects.Intermediate Quantity Surveyor – Duties & Responsibilities
- Preparation of budget estimates
- Analysing drawings and contract documents
- Assisting in preparation of Bills of Quantities
- Preparing tender/ contract documentation
- Assessing Interim valuation payments
- Assessing & reviewing variations
- Assisting in producing monthly Cost Reports
Experience & Skills Required
- Minimum of degree level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or similar
- Holding or working towards professional membership to SCSI or RICS
- A minimum of 3+ years’ post qualification experience within a cost consultancy environment
- Ambitious and committed to delivering an excellent standard of work
- Good IT skills with competency using buildsoft/ cubit or equivalent, excel & word
- Good writing and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience with contract documentation, reports, valuations and claims
- Ability to work on your own initiative and within a team environment
- MUST hold eligibility to work in Ireland
