Job description

We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Financial Controller to join our client, a well-known organisation in the Non-Profit Sector based in Dublin West.

Operating with a hybrid working model (2-days onsite), the role also offers flexitime, pension and parking available on-site.

As a key member of the finance team, reporting to the Deputy Director of Finance, you will be responsible for ensuring comprehensive month-end close, strategic financial analysis, collaborative budgeting, and efficient management of bookkeeping, transactions, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

· Overseeing month-end close processes

· Conducting thorough financial analyses to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.

· Collaborating with cross functional teams to develop precise budget forecasts and monitoring financial performance.

· Preparing and presenting comprehensive monthly management accounts reports, emphasizing key insights and recommendations.

· Supervising day-to-day bookkeeping activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

· Managing financial transactions, including invoicing, income, payroll, and non-pay expenses.

· Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.

· Continuously evaluating and enhancing financial processes for efficiency and effectiveness.

· Implementing best practices to improve the overall financial administration of the company.

Minimum Requirements:

· ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA Qualified Accountant with a minimum 3 years post qualification experience within the Non for Profit/Public Sector in Industry experience.

· Previous team lead/management experience.

· Ability to communicate effectively and lead a team of seven finance professionals.

· Strong stakeholder skills

· Proficient in Excel
