Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely preparation, presentation, and service of high-quality meals in line with company and client standards, promoting a positive dining atmosphere.
  • Uphold stringent hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards, complying with both Sodexo and client policies as well as legal requirements.
  • Manage kitchen resources efficiently to produce meals within budget constraints, focusing on raw material, sales, and labour cost control.
  • Present food creatively to maximise customer satisfaction and appeal, adhering to Sodexo’s presentation guidelines.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to health and safety policies to ensure the well-being of staff and customers.
  • Engage in proactive communication with customers and team members, ensuring high levels of service and feedback responsiveness.
  • Represent Sodexo’s professional image, ensuring the adherence to uniform standards and maintaining a positive company presence.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef with a passion for food preparation and culinary arts.
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations (e.g., HACCP certified).
  • Ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently, with a keen eye on budget and resource management.
  • Creative food presentation skills and a commitment to maintaining high service standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and participate in special functions outside regular hours as needed.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to train and guide new team members.
