Join a team of next generation thinkers.WHAT TO EXPECTYou will lead a team responsible for the transportation of engineering vehicles, vehicle properties, lithium Ion batteries and associated parts from multiple collection and delivery locations within the UK, EU and RoW supporting JLR Engineering Operations (EO).
Role will involve interactions with both internal stakeholders, external partners and authorities so a high level or rigour and diligency required.Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Supervise logistic coordinators supporting movement of engineering vehicles into JLR test and suppliers locations within the EU/ RoW maximising logistic budget meeting all customer expectations
  • Lead domestic EO movements ensuring external cost is kept to a minimum whilst ensuring requests completed on time and in full (OTIF)
  • Inventory control and management of JLR EO assets
  • Compliance management and control of vehicle fleet and resource
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate escalation of all issues preventing on time performance with suitable reporting to ensure clear communications of progress and blockers

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Experience leading a team within a logistic operation in a fast paced and challenging environment
  • Transport and legislation knowledge relating to CPC and ADR regulations
  • Ability to balance value for money, time and risk whilst not impacting timing and expectations of EO team
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn new systems and processes
  • A strong communicator with the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders to influence cross-functional engagement
