JOB DESCRIPTION:Abbott Ireland Financial Services Cherrywood DublinAbbott’s EMEA Finance Shared Services centre commenced operations in Cherrywood, Dublin in October 2015. From this location the Finance Shared Services provides processing and expertise, in local languages, to Abbott divisions and affiliate companies across EMEA. The core services are in Record to Report, Order to Cash, Source to Pay and Master data management. The Financial Shared Services hub is part of Corporate Finance and has regional counterparts in the US and in Singapore.We are currently recruiting a Business Intelligence & Data Analytics Specialist to be based in our Digital Solutions Team in Cherrywood.As part of the Digital Solutions team, this role will advance the CFS strategy for data analytics and visualization. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions using Power BI and other tools, providing valuable insights to support decision-making across the CFS organization.Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Analytics, Systems, Science, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years in data analytics or business intelligence.
  • Experience in digital/technology/process implementations, business intelligence, data analytics, visualization tools, and robotic process automation/AI.
  • Proven track record of driving projects and programs to successful completion in matrix organizations.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in OLTP/OLAP data structures, advanced Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Power Platform capabilities, Business Objects, SQL Query, HIVE QL, statistical methods, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Programming: Basic knowledge of Python or R.
  • Model Deployment: Experience in supporting deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and enhancement of analytics models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Lead key CFS data analytics projects and programs.
  • Centre of Excellence: Establish and leverage resources across the organization.
  • Work Intake Management: Identify opportunities, prioritize, and develop a roadmap for data analytics.
  • Analytics Program Management: Oversee the design, build, test, and deployment of data analytic solutions.
  • Governance: Ensure designs adhere to approved governance principles.
  • Administration: Define support processes for delivered projects.
  • Data Quality: Ensure data quality, accuracy, and auditability.

Main Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge and skills in data analytics and business intelligence.
  • Lead CFS data analytics processes to develop business intelligence solutions based on Power BI, aligning with infrastructure standards.
  • Manage internal CFS and BTS processes.
  • Prioritization & Selection: Create an approach for idea selection.
  • Establish delivery methods within CFS and through BTS.
  • ETL Processes: Design and follow appropriate ETL processes and infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Informatica, etc.).
  • Develop high-standard solutions documentation and define support processes.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and auditability.
  • Digital Innovation: Design high-quality analytics solutions.
  • Develop and design high-quality business intelligence and analytics solutions, including advanced analytics and machine learning, in partnership with BTS and key stakeholders.
  • Predictive Technology: Implement predictive systems to enhance decision-making and performance.
  • Collaboration: Integrate data analytics and business intelligence solutions across teams to improve performance.
  • Centre of Excellence Leadership: Lead the Power BI Centre of Excellence, providing mentorship and direction to team members.
  • Learning Strategy: Develop and support learning solutions to grow the expertise of the Centre of Excellence and the broader CFS Community of Practice.
  • Change Agent: Implement business intelligence and advanced analytics aligned with business strategies.
  • Stakeholder Support: Provide direction and support to various stakeholders within and outside the CFS automation team.
  • Digital Learning Path: Lead the business intelligence and data analytics development roadmap.
  • Independent Work: Drive own work to completion while collaborating effectively with team members.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate complex ideas and results to technical and business/executive audiences.
  • Liaison: Ensure CFS remains at the forefront of business intelligence advancements.
