The Analyst will assist in validating, creating, and managing purchase requisitions as a centralised function and be the gatekeeper for data quality checks, compliance (SOX, GT) and provide dedicated support and training to the Lilly end user. The Analyst role will incorporate Analytical activities to assist in alignment to Procurement strategy and ensure Sourcing procedures have been followed for high value PurchasesKey ResponsibilitiesValidation of Commodity Codes on High Value Purchase Requisitions to ensure compliance with Procurement StrategyPromote Buying channel utilization by ensuring suitable Category strategy is chosen on Purchase Requisition and relevant Buying Catalogs are utilized when relevant.Validate Requisition on compliance with Down-Payment and Global Transparency RequirementsReduce PO Leakage by ensuring Preferred Vendor selection is utilizedMaintain relationship with Procurement function sharing analytical detail of Category Utilization and potential improvements on Guided Buying ProcessUnderstand and maintain expert level of business/process knowledge on Non MRP Purchasing and processing, creation of required purchase requisitions and Purchase OrdersComplete PO maintenance requirementsBe seen as a “go-to” information resource for other team membersReview key metrics and communicate to managers to ensure KPIs are being met.Support training of new team membersIdentify, and work with the P2P team to identify, key process improvementsProvide P2P Management with reports reflecting Purchasing metrics, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc.Work with Global Process Owner for P2P and other Zones to support P2P global projectsCoordinate the delivery of P2P process improvements within the GBS and globally as appropriatePerform quality reviews, root cause analysis and resolve issuesSupport to End-user for Troubleshoot problems/issues with Requisitions/Purchase OrdersProvide Testing support for new ERP Functionality and standard ERP updatesParticipate on projects related to process improvement or integration as the SME and share best practices across P2P and Procurement global functionsImplement process improvements related to area and deliver additional training to End-user on an ongoing basis.Ensure processes are aligned with global processes unless deviations are necessary for legal or regulatory reasons.Review and update Process Flows/SOPs/Job Aids as neededProvide back-up activities for team members as needed.Ensure controls are maintained and in compliance with corporate policies.Establish and maintain Business partnering with Procurement Sourcing organization.ComplianceUnderstand and follow all compliance policies, laws, regulations and The Red Book.Ensure adherence to all document retention requirements in line with Lilly Global Record Retention Schedule and any applicable local legal requirements, including filing, storing, archiving, and destroying documents at the end of the record retention periodEnsure all SOx and Operational controls are completed and followed to level required and within agreed timeframe.Integrate compliance into daily activities.Comply with any corrective actions.Cooperate with investigations, monitoring and audits.Minimum Qualification Requirements:Business qualification with an accountancy focus at degree level or aboveSix Sigma and/or Proven track record with in house projectsAble to communicate change effectively across different levels of the organization.Effective team member with ability to work across a diverse and cross-functional work group.Must be flexible and adaptable to changeGeneral business/functional knowledgeAdvanced proficiency in using Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, etc.)Demonstrate strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skillsAdvanced Research, analytical and issues resolution skillsMust be able to multi-task and work well under pressureDevelop good relationships with various levels of personnel in Lilly’s Financial/Sourcing organization and third party service providersCompliance and controls experience.Strong research and issues resolution skillsExcellent active listening skills with effective verbal skills to respond to customers with a rational and empathetic manner.Able to work under pressure, juggling short deadlines, multiple priorities and concern for maintaining standards.Good time management skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Power Point etc…)Desirable:Previous experience in in P2P, Procurement, Finance or Supply chain admin rolesSAP/ARIBA Experience (including Purchasing modules)Excel data AnalysisCompliance and controls experience an advantageSecond European Language.Eli Lilly and Company, Lilly USA, LLC and our wholly owned subsidiaries (collectively “Lilly”) are committed to help individuals with disabilities to participate in the workforce and ensure equal opportunity to compete for jobs.
