Technical Business Analyst – JIRA Cloud MigrationAn urgent requirement has arisen for a Technical Business Analyst to join our customer based in London. This role is critical to a large-scale On-Prem to Cloud JIRA migration project, requiring strong JIRA Cloud expertise, data migration experience, and process-driven analysis.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document requirements related to JIRA Cloud migration and broader on-prem to cloud transition.
- Analyse and map business and technical processes, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation in the context of cloud transformation.
- Define and document data migration strategies, ensuring accurate data integrity and compliance during the JIRA Cloud transition.
- Prepare detailed technical specifications, user stories, and use cases to ensure all system requirements and functionalities are well-documented.
- Work closely with JIRA administrators, developers, and cloud architects to align business needs with technical solutions and facilitate the migration process.
- Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate successful data migration and system functionality in JIRA Cloud.
- Provide guidance on best practices for JIRA configuration, workflow automation, and integration within the cloud environment.
- Strong expertise in JIRA, JIRA Cloud, and Atlassian tools.
- Proven experience in data migration methodologies, ETL processes, & data integrity.
- Understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, and automation within JIRA.
- Proficiency in SQL and data analysis to support migration efforts.
- Strong understanding of business process mapping, optimization, and automation.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and using project management tools like JIRA and Confluence.
- Ability to translate complex business needs into actionable technical solutions.
- Ideally a certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI-PBA
- Ideally Atlassian JIRA certifications.
- Agile certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or SAFe Agilist beneficial.
