Location: DublinSalary: €40,000+Reference: MC1807We are currently recruiting a Restaurant Manager for this recently renovated venue offering unique and vibrant dining featuring fresh, seasonal Irish produce in casual chic surroundings.Role responsibilities include:
- Assist with menu planning and costing
- Review and update job descriptions and SOPs as required
- Undertake/participate in recruitment and onboarding of the full Restaurant Team, assisting the Head Chef as appropriate
- Prepare/approve Team rosters, with a strong focus on managing labour costs
- Ensure the Front of House and Back of House teams work together and are well organised and well supported
- Work collaboratively with all other departments
- Manage/oversee purchasing for the full Restaurant
- Always seek improvements/ new opportunities/ new trends
- Support the Head Chef in ensuring the production of consistently great food
- Ensure the highest level of food safety and cleanliness of the workplace at all times
- Promote a safety culture and safety awareness
- Adhere to health & safety training, policies, and procedures and ensure compliance with HACCP/GDPR/RSA legal requirements
- Identify and manage training needs, including your own, with a focus on succession planning
- Deal with any staff issues in a comprehensive and timely manner.
- Identify opportunities to recognise and reward Team members
- Ensure that an excellent food and beverage service to all guests at all times
- Work with the Head Chef to manage portion control and food costs and to minimise food waste
- Working with the Head Chef to ensure that the Kitchen is properly maintained at all times, and that cleaning schedules are set up and maintained
- Prepare management and other reports and make presentations
- Attend relevant meetings
- Proactively identify issues and solutions and discuss with Senior Management
The ideal candidate will have at least three years’ experience as Restaurant Manager / General Manager within a quality dining destination, opening experience an advantage. Further candidate attributes include:
