Job Summary:
Bechtel is now accepting applications from fields of Human Resources, Business or other relevant discipline undergraduates to join our 2024 – 2025 Summer Intern Program located at our Energy project Pluto Train 2, located in Karratha, Western Australia. Bechtel’s internship program was created to cultivate real-life industry interest based on hands-on experience. Many new university graduate hires began their careers at Bechtel as a student intern.
During this time, you will be rotating between the Human Resources and Employee Relations departments, and you’ll see first-hand how our business works and take on tasks related directly to the construction of the project and internal initiatives, all which will give you valuable industry experience all while having a real impact on our organization. Interns work in our multidisciplinary teams, under a dedicated supervisor who will be responsible for providing you with a full and busy workload, whilst also ensuring we provide you with the best experience possible during your time with us. Interns will work a 3:1 roster and during their swing will be accommodated in the projects Red Dog Village Camp.
Our internships run as a 12-week program over the university summer holidays. This is a FIFO opportunity from Perth, Western Australia to Karratha, Western Australia on a 3weeks on / 1week off roster for the duration of the program.
Education and Experience Requirements:

Applicants must be in their second or third year of their degree at an accredited university in one of the fields list above, and,

Be an Australian citizen or have the right to permanently work and remain in Australia without sponsorship, and,

Be able to pass any pre-employment requirements such as a drug screen and background check.
