We have an exciting opportunity for an experience Workplace Relations Consultant to be at the forefront of ensuring McDonald’s maintains robust people compliance performance and adheres to best practice principles in managing employee relations within our restaurants. Your mission? To diagnose opportunities, implement solutions, and ensure our teams operate in a supportive, compliant, and productive environment.
What can you expect on a day-to-day basis?
Conducting thorough investigations and managing complex employee relations matters
Developing and updating educational resources on ER/compliance for our restaurants
Monitoring background checks and mitigating risks to our brand and people
Assisting in managing external/legal/regulatory claims
Coaching line managers on compliance matters and employee relations
Delivering training on compliance, investigations, and people performance
Analysing data to produce insightful reports and recommend improvement initiatives
Collaborating with various departments to optimise legal and compliance practices
Fostering a high-performance culture by developing team members and providing feedback
Your keys to success:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Law, or similar field
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
Strong understanding of Australian employment law and modern awards
Proven ability to solve complex problems with autonomy and initiative
Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and tailoring solutions to business needs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with polished presentation abilities
Exceptional organisational skills and ability to manage multiple complex matters
Team player with a positive attitude and strong ethical standards
Previous experience in a McDonald’s restaurant or other QSR will be highly regarded
