Job description
Warehouse Operations & Systems Manager CorkOur client, a leading importer and wholesaler of products to the beauty industry in Ireland are looking to hire for a Warehouse Operations & Systems Manager role for their Warehouse in Cork. The successful person will be in full control of warehouse operations and reporting into the CEO and managing a team of 15+, duties will include;Summary of tasks:
- Implementation of new warehouse storage automation across physical and digital mediums
- Lead technology advancements and WMS opportunities within the warehouse
- Report to the CEO on warehouse performance and operations weekly
- Lead warehouse team +15 persons in the delivery of business objectives
- Ensure smooth running of existing warehouse processes
- Deliver on operational reviews and management of warehouse KPIs
- Support the business in contract and engagement negotiations
- Distribution and logistics oversight and daily monitoring of goods movement
Qualifications
- Supervisory skills and experience in a warehouse environment
- Project management skills in large capital projects
- Strategic planning and inventory control experience
- ERP and cross-digital integration experience a must
- Previous experience in Lean methodology and LEAN SIGMA
- Warehouse management experience, with knowledge of safety and compliance regulations
- Strong customer service skills, with experience working with diverse clients
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate with team members, management, and customers
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and implement decisions
- Proficient with computer systems and software used for inventory control and warehouse management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations
- Experience in automation deployment is a distinct
- Excellent people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a
- Strong technical and PC skills to manage inventory control systems, logistics software, and other warehouse-related applications.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, and suppliers.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance
