Your determination to deliver quality and accuracy will improve health outcomes that people and communities depend on – now and in the future.Within our Analytical Services team, we have a functional service provider solution, which is a unique partnership that allows our customers to leverage the experience of our staff, while allowing you, the employee, to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company, all while maintaining full-time benefits.PPD are currently hiring for an Upstream Scientist to join our client based in Rixensart for an initial 6 month contract to support with Process development of a mRNA production.Responsibilities:Set-up and Conduct experiments related to the In Vitro Transcription (IVT) process, capping, and DNAse digestion in the development laboratory.Screen parameters and designs to identify optimal conditions for IVT, capping, and DNAse digestion and proactively seek opportunities for improvement.Develop and refine the upstream processPrepare detailed process reports, including next steps and optimization recommendations.Organize the workload by considering available materials, equipment, and the analytical scientist’s capacity for sample analysis. Ensure synchronization with other team members working on the same or related projects.Document experiments using electronic batch record system. Collaborate with team members to draft protocols in English before initiating experiments, and write comprehensive reports summarizing the results in conjunction with Product and Process Experts. Present methodologies and/or results as required.Participate in maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment.Role Requirements :MSc in Molecular Biology, Chemical engineering, Bio-engineering or related discipline, + 2-3 years of relevant experience in academy or industry.
