Job Title: UX/UI Developer (Angular)
Location: London, UK (Hybrid 2 days/week onsite)
Job Type: Contract (Inside IR35)
Duration: 6 Months (Extendable)
Job Summary Barclays seeks Angular UI Developers to build a cutting-edge Market Risk platform enabling self-service analytics for risk managers and regulatory reporting. This role demands expertise in Angular, TypeScript, and HTML/CSS to deliver robust, scalable solutions integrated with Big Data technologies (Hadoop/Spark). Key Responsibilities Development & Collaboration

• Develop clean, reusable, and performant code in TypeScript, Angular, HTML5, CSS.
• Partner with Tech Leads to refine architecture for resilience and scalability.
• Write technical design documents adhering to Barclays’ standards.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Liaise independently with Risk Managers and Business Analysts to gather requirements.
• Ensure alignment with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and SDLC phases.

Technical Analysis

• Optimize SQL queries for relational databases and ensure code quality via unit testing.
• Work with big-data ecosystems (HDFS, Spark) for dynamic reporting and analytics.

Requirements Mandatory Skills

• 5+ years’ hands-on experience with Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS frameworks.
• Proficiency in SQL, relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Expertise in Git workflows, Agile methodologies, and SDLC.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and document technical designs.
• Strong communication skills and adaptability to complex financial concepts.

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of financial markets and risk management (banking domain preferred).
• Experience with Python, Java, Linux, or Big Data tools (Spark, HDFS).
