Job Title: Truck & Trailer Mechanic / Fitter Location: Roscrea, Co. We take great pride in maintaining our fleet of trucks and trailers in-house to ensure the highest standards of safety and performance. We are looking for a dedicated Truck & Trailer Mechanic / Fitter to maintain and repair our fleet of trucks and trailers (Refrigerated). You will play a key role in ensuring our vehicles are roadworthy and meet all safety and compliance standards. Perform routine maintenance and servicing on trucks and trailers, including inspections, oil changes, and brake checks. Repair or replace malfunctioning parts, i.e. transmissions, engines, and suspension systems Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in trucks and trailers. Conduct pre-MOT inspections and repairs to ensure compliance with legal requirements. Maintain detailed service records for all work performed and parts used. Respond to breakdowns and perform on-site repairs as needed. Collaborate with drivers and the operations team to identify and resolve vehicle issues promptly. Ensure all tools, equipment, and workshop areas are kept in good condition. Qualifications / Requirements: Proven experience as a mechanic working with trucks and trailers is desired but not essential, as training will be provided Strong knowledge of diesel engines, braking systems, and trailer mechanics. Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical stamina and the ability to handle heavy parts and equipment.
