The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that the company’s high standards of quality and customer service are maintained and developed, being prepared to drive new ideas and initiatives as the company strives to build upon its excellent reputation in the field in which it operates.About you:Looking for candidates with experience managing a Transport/Logistics Team and vehicle fleet of 10+ vehicles in addition to multi-drop experience (at least 1 year) and extensive knowledge of Manchester and surrounding areas. Must have experience working with systems such as Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Excel, and be willing to learn further systems.You will be responsible for:– Managing and growing the Transport Team.– Building weekly and monthly Rotas– Building the drivers Rounds with cost efficiency and capacity efficiencies at the forefront.– Being the point of contact for any issues that arise whilst on the road.– Managing daily first parades and related paperwork.– Occasionally booking Temporary Drivers through the company’s chosen Temp Agency– Managing the maintenance of the vans, booking them in for any required work, services and MOT checks, and maintaining monitoring trackers for senior management.– Keeping up to date records of vans, insurance information and fuel usage.– Occasional shift cover – delivering all products and goods ordered to customers on a specified route, ensuring the required standards and quality is always met.Working hours:45 hours – to work between 1am – 10amMon-Sun, 5 days per week, occasional weekend managers coverWhat’s in it for you?
