How will you make a difference?

This position is responsible for the protection of people, equipment and property and that work being conducted in and around client railway networks is safe.

Where is the position located?

In Regional Queensland flying from Brisbane Airport to Mackay, however open to applicants residing in other Australian States.

What will your typical day look like?

• Promote and ensure the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management systems are implemented and adhered to;

• Ensure that people and property working near or on track are protected from rail hazards;

• Understanding of client rail network rules in terms of risks and hazards associated with working within the rail network;

• Determine authority and protection methods required for rail vehicle movements at every worksite;

• Liaise with project management daily, to plan safeworking/protection to ensure projects can be carried out on time/budget;

• Complete Safeworking Documentation as required by client;

What do we want to know about you?

• Strong communication skills;

• A focus on customer service and safety

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience as a Safeworking/Protection Officer working in the rail corridor

• Ability to obtain a CAT 1 Rail Medical and Clearance Letter from a Chief Medical Officer (CMO)

• Previous experience working on Carmichael Rail Network an advantage.

• Hold a current valid C class drivers licence
