Toolmaker Apprentice, Engineering Services

This position provides the Apprentice, Engineering Services, as part of their formal on-the-job training and Training Centre/Educational College studies, the experience of working within a regulated medical device company. Under close supervision, the apprentice will provide basic prototype support to a project or function.

What you will do:

• Under supervision, assist Engineering Services Team members in the manufacture of Prototypes

• Interface with Business Units departments and manufacture quality prototypes on time for our customers.

• Communicate and participate in system and process troubleshooting with support team members and with external agents.

• Participate in cross-functional and cross-divisional process improvement initiatives.

• Interpret engineering drawings & manufacture prototypes to specification.

• Participates in project updates and workshops and presents at the relevant review forums.

• Operate a range of CNC milling machines, lathes and grinders in the manufacture of prototypes based on engineering drawings.

• All other duties as assigned.

What you will need:

• Passed Leaving Certificate Examination

• Capable of working as part of a multi-disciplined team in a fast-paced regulated environment

• Self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods, analytical & problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to effectively work cross-functionally.

• Capable of working autonomously

• Fosters a working environment of continuous improvement.

• All other duties as assigned
