We’re taking care of the nation’s health and it starts with you.As a Theatre Porter at our Tees Hospital, you’ll need to be a good communicator, as this role involves helping our patients to feel relaxed and reassured, before and after surgery. It is important that you are happy to have some patient contact whislt assisting qualified clinical staff with patient care. It is also essential that you are able to undergo our Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks, as part of your application.As a Theatre Porter, you will:Be part of a close-knit professional teamCollect and return patients to their individual rooms, before and after surgeryWork with your colleagues to ensure that the theatre environment and its equipment are fully functioningHelp with the cleaning of the theatre environment and equipmentWork in a fast-moving clinical environmentMaintain constant and effective interaction with our theatre teamAssist with patient positioning prior to, during and post surgery.Application of tourniquets, table attachments etc.Undertake general tasks for the smooth running of the theatre department.Helping you feel good.We want you to love coming to work, feeling healthy, happy and valued.
