The Shift connects over 580 companies, NGOs, public and academic actors in Belgium, serving as the national point of contact for the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and the B Corp Movement.Our mission is to facilitate and accelerate the sustainability agenda, driven by three forces:CONNECT – Organising networking opportunities for our members around pressing sustainability challenges.COMMIT – Assisting our members in setting long-term sustainability goals.CHANGE – Initiating innovative projects to address complex challenges with committed members.Guided by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and inspired by younger generations challenging the status quo, our objective is to transition to a socio-economic model that ensures wellbeing for all within planetary boundaries. To lead the way to a net-zero economy, we launched the Belgian Alliance for Climate Action (BACA), a joint initiative by WWF Belgium & The Shift. For over three years now, BACA has been the national climate platform where organisations, mainly companies, unite on a decarbonisation track based on the Science Based Targets methodology, showcasing ambitious climate leadership.WHO WE’RE LOOKING FORWe are seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join our Change team as a Change Facilitator, focusing primarily on the Belgian Alliance for Climate Action (BACA) project. In this role, you will collaborate on various sustainability topics and work closely with our members and partners.As Change Facilitator, you will connect members, engage them in ambitious commitments, and drive the change agenda with our community (connect – commit – change). You will have clear objectives and be driven by making a significant impact through our multistakeholder community. Together with our members and partners, you will develop innovative business models and societal projects to tackle major community challenges.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Coordinate the Belgian Alliance for Climate Action & drive impact

• Engage BACA members in carbon reduction measures and supply chain engagement through peer-to-peer exchange.
• Increase commitment of BACA members towards validated Science-Based Targets.
• Think strategically about the future of BACA, developing long-term plans to ensure continued growth and impact.
• Create visibility for BACA members as climate frontrunner community.
• Collaborate with WWF as a knowledge partner.
• Partner with other climate initiatives in Belgium and Europe to scale impact.
• Identify new opportunities to expand the BACA community.

2. Community Management

• Motivate potential members to join the network.
• Encourage and facilitate interactions between members and The Shift team.
• Actively support cross-disciplinary activities offered to members.
• Make use of the CRM system to track member engagements.
• Maintain regular contact with around fifty members.

PROFILE

• Passionate about sustainability and partnerships in climate and other ESG topics.
• Comfortable working in a B2B environment.
• Analytical mind, solution-oriented, and impact-driven.
• Ability to track and report the progress of BACA members effectively in a digital way.
• At least 3 years of professional experience, ideally in project management (planning, budgeting, impact measurement).
• Familiar with carbon accounting and knowledge of Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Good knowledge of French and/or Dutch and English.
• Excellent in multistakeholder management.
• Enjoys working in a small but dynamic team.
• Can work independently, set priorities, and stay focused on objectives.
