The Service employs around 2,000 people, 85% of these are Firefighters, the remaining 15% is made up by support staff. HIWFRS is a fantastic place to work and is passionate about providing a friendly and welcoming environment, developing its people, and helping staff to reach their goals.We have a great opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual to join our busy team at the Fleet Maintenance Centre (FMC) as a FMC General Duties Assistant. Duties to include cleanliness of vehicles, the workshop and outside areas, whilst supporting the Waste management program. You will also be expected to drive vehicles to various locations and an HGV license is essential. At the FMC we have 15 Technicians who repair and maintain approximately 3300 Vehicles and associational equipment for HIWFRS across 62 Locations in partnership with Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service. You would be playing a critical role in supporting the Fleet Maintenance Functions.In return we will offer you:
