To ensure Abbott continues to deliver on time service, we are on the lookout for motivated and experienced field service engineer to join the service team based in Sydney, NSW, within the Diagnostic Division. Supporting the Northern Region of Australia, with primary focus on Sydney metro and NSW regional sites. At times, if there is a business requirement to travel interstate to support other customers, the field service engineer should be able to travel at a short notice.
This position would be an exciting career opportunity for a service engineer or technician who is looking to develop in all aspects of their profession. Prior laboratory equipment experience would be favorable.
Reporting to the Service supervisor (NSW), the successful applicant will be responsible and accountable for all aspects of technical support and service delivery for allocated accounts in this region. You will work closely with the remote support network and resources within Abbott to deliver best in class service to our customers.
To succeed in your new position, you will bring with you:
A relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Strong methodical and logical thinking skills
Your strong communication with confident interpersonal skills
A proven ability to build strong working relationships with customers
An ability to do Root Cause Analysis and have the personal drive to achieve positive results for our customers and Abbott
Your ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplined teams internally and externally
An eagerness to develop your technical and professional skills and knowledge through training and education
A willingness and availability to travel regionally and interstate to meet customer needs and support the team
A current driver’s license and fit for purpose vehicle
