My client is a leading Resin and Polymers manufacturer based in Wigan that supply products to a range of industries globally. They are looking to hire an experienced Technical Project Manager to join their established team in Standish, Wigan. The ideal candidate will have a background in managing Chemical Engineering projects, will hold a PHD in Chemistry, will have previous COMAH experience and will be based within a commutable distance of Standish, Wigan.Technical Project Manager Job Overview

• Manage all phases of project including design, procurement, planning, installation and evaluation
• Overseeing New product development
• Identifying, planning and managing resources which may include liaising with external contractors
• Identifying and manging potential risks in the project
• Delivering projects on time, to expected quality standards and within budget
• Contribute to the verification and signing off of designs
• Writing Technical Reports
• Material characterisation

Technical Project Manager Job Requirements

• Ideally PHD qualified in Chemistry, Masters and Batchelor level degrees will be considered
• Demonstrable previous experience in the Chemical industry
• Any previous experience in Polymer Chemistry would be highly beneficial
• Previous experience handling large scale Engineering projects from cradle to grave
• A Familiarity of managing the commercial aspects of Engineering projects
• Based within a commutable distance of Wigan

Technical Project Manager Salary & Benefits

• Salary £40,000 – £45,000 DOE
• Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00
• 33 days holiday inclusive of public holidays
• BUPA Healthcare
• Pension
