Technical Program Management

Azure Global WAN team runs Microsoft global network allowing customers to connect to Microsoft cloud services, including Azure, M365, Bing, Dynamics 365, One Drive, Xbox, and AI, from anywhere in the world. We are innovating in software-defined network management and control functions, applying to network capacity management, routing, traffic engineering, monitoring, and diagnosis areas. In this new era of AI, demand for network capacity has grown exponentially to accommodate the new workloads and services. Be at the forefront to support this new wave of cloud expansion!

The candidate would have an engineering background, and an understanding of network architecture and technology. Candidates need to have demonstrated written and verbal communication, an understanding for technology, experience providing guidance and direction to technical audiences, ability to drive towards the “big picture” while managing details, and the ability to build relationships with key partners.

• You will work with the engineering teams to execute the network infrastructure buildout or decommission programs.
• You will identify and prioritize among competing network demands, and work with partner teams to fulfill end customer requirements within the planned timelines.
• You will define and track success criteria and metrics across multiple interdependent teams and facilitate cross-org communications.
• You will drive business impact across the organization and track success criteria for multiple infrastructure areas. You’ll also identify long-term investment opportunities and engage partners to garner support for those areas.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
• Bachelor’s Degree AND engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
• Experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
• Experience in a networking and/or distributed systems environment.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 
• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
• Experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
• Bachelor’s Degree AND engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
• Experience writing product documentations and project/feature presentations.
