We believe that by embodying these values, we can continue to grow and thrive as a company while also contributing to the growth and success of the farming industry in Ireland.We are now looking to recruit a Technical Product and Sustainability Manager- Tillage to join our Technical Product Management and Sustainability Team to primarily cover the East Region of Ireland.The RoleThe role involves Joint responsibility for key Product Development strategy, technical support and activity for Grassland Agro within the Product Management and Technical Support Team and will be focused on the Speciality Business and Product range with the following responsibilities:
- Technical Development of Product Range and Product Positioning in the Market place
- Development and Communication of Grassland AGRO brands at company and product levels
- Developing and Leading Marketing Campaigns
- Technical Training and Support of Field Sales and Telesales Team
The Person:
- A Recognised agricultural qualification (Master’s or PHD) with post-qualification experience in an agricultural sale and/or marketing role is essential.
- Track record of high performance and target achievement in previous role(s).
- High level of technical ability across a wide range of agricultural enterprises, production and farming systems.
- A high level of understanding and competency in the use of modern IT resources, including website, social media and other communication tools.
- A high level of understanding of tillage and crop production systems.
- Ruminant nutrition expertise.
- Fully self-motivated, with the ability to work under pressure and on own initiative to tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills plus the ability to seek solutions to overcome business challenges and to recognise and harness opportunities.
- Strong people management and communications skills, including the ability to positively influence colleagues to achieve results.
- A positive mental attitude to business challenges and a ‘can-do’ approach.
- A strong commercial focus and ability and motivation to succeed in the marketplace with high value products.
- A keen team player with ability to work with and win support of colleagues
