Technical Business Analyst | York | Hybrid | Insurance | £50,000 | Requirements Elicitation | D365We’re seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join a forward-thinking organization that delivers innovative technology solutions to meet evolving business needs. In this role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective solutions, streamline processes, and improve end-user experience while minimizing total cost of ownership.As a Technical Business Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role throughout the delivery lifecycle, from ideation and requirements gathering to solution design, testing, and deployment. You’ll leverage your expertise to create low-level technical solutions, develop technical specifications, and provide leadership to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.This is an excellent opportunity to take on challenging projects that span multiple applications and technologies, driving technical innovation and contributing to the success of a highly collaborative team.Key Responsibilities:

• Own the technical solution design, ensuring alignment with business objectives by documenting requirements as user stories or functional specifications with clear acceptance criteria.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with business stakeholders, SMEs, and technical teams to become a credible partner.
• Work with non-technical stakeholders to elicit and document requirements, while helping guide them toward simplified, reusable solutions.
• Collaborate with technical colleagues, including Product Owners, Solution Architects, developers, testers, and external software vendors, to explore and review solution options addressing functional and non-functional needs.
• Provide guidance and support to developers and testers throughout the delivery process, ensuring accurate implementation and validation of the solution.
• Analyze test results, triage failures, and identify root causes during testing phases.
• Champion continuous improvements, ensuring high-quality and efficient technical deliveries.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven ability to elicit and document requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into clear technical solutions.
• Experience in organizing and facilitating collaborative workshops to resolve challenges and design solutions.
• Hands-on experience working with third-party software providers, software houses, and technology vendors.
• Familiarity with systems integration, including creating and reviewing API specifications using SOAP and REST protocols.
• Experience working with complex software applications, such as D365 or similar packages, and developing an in-depth understanding of their functionality.

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with database schemas, with experience writing SQL queries being advantageous.
• Exposure to the insurance industry is a plus.
• Understanding of Azure cloud architecture and components is beneficial.
