Tech Enablement Lead, WWTFE – Technical Field Enablement in Melbourne, Australia

AWS is seeking a highly analytical and resourceful Technical Program Manager to support enablement efforts for primarily the ProServe Delivery Teams, with a tight interlock into wider Proserve. This role sits within World Wide Technical Field Enablement (WWTFE) and is aligned to support our ProServe Builders and initiatives of WWTFE in APJ.

In this role you will manage and oversee key programs that impact a Delivery audience of 1400+ Builders. Stakeholder management is key with 25 – 35% of your time will be spent immersing in the decision making and business strategies to build impactful enablement programs in support of the business.

The role will require quickly learning operations, to grasp the big picture, in order to develop metrics, strategies and mechanisms. You will also need to interlock with global stakeholders such as the ProServe Strategy and Operations team, the ProServe Day 1 Delivery Team, Global Services enablement teams, WWSO SMEs and geo enablement leads in WWFE. You will use these relationships to understand the challenges in Delivery and build a network of SMEs to build the strategy and execute on enablement programs, in alignment with business, technical and operational priorities.

A person with a strong technical background, any technical AWS cloud certifications and able to map technology in to our customers industries, will be highly valued. In this APJ wide role, you will need to venture into unestablished territory, creatively innovate, deal with ambiguity and educate your business partners as you maximize impact of the role.

Key job responsibilities

This position requires a broad set of skills to be successful, that range from high level strategic thinking and effective communication to deep-dive analytical problem solving.

Specifically:

1. Work across teams and influence priorities, decisions and get buy-in from stakeholders on initiatives and decisions

2. Own and develop programs from start to finish with cross-functional projects and goals with impact on a regional audience

3. work with data driven insights to support senior leadership tactical and strategic business decisions

4. Design metrics and business review documents guiding the ProServe enablement team through to execution

5. Strong technical background that deeply understands content of technical enablement and make decisions that best fit the teams needs

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

• Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering

• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

• Experience defining KPI’s/SLA’s used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

• Experience with modern software engineering and/or open-source ecosystem

• Technical degree and/or industry certification, working with technical programs and learning initiatives.

• Candidates with hands on technical/software capability will gain an edge
