Full time, 37 hours. Working Monday to Friday, between the hours of 4pm to 1.30am.£24,424 progressing to £27,138Oakdene delivers person-centred support, to empower clients and support them on their recovery journey.We have a dedicated and passionate team, who deliver intensive support to clients living in the service. This role requires a proactive, and flexible approach.   • You will support your team to achieve their potential through regular staff supervision, coaching, training and induction
  • Liaise between the day and night teams to ensure consistent and effective communication and provide a handover to day staff after each shift
  • You will be involved in the recruitment of staff for your team
  • Manage staff annual leave, plan rotas and organise cover for absences ensuring adequate cover at all times
  • Supervise room clearance which may include changing bed linen, completing laundry and cleaning tasks
  • Manage incidents through the on-call service, emergency services or by providing assistance
  • Be part of the on call service
  • Respond to emergency accommodation needs of clients
  • Control the entry & exit of clients and visitors through reception; maintain the alcohol admissions policy
  • Maintain clean and tidy communal areas
  • Any other reasonable duties required in the interest of the organisation

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/TRAININGPrevious experience in this type of work is not essential but you will have a real passion for wanting to work with homeless people.   • Clear verbal and written English and great communication skills
  • Basic IT and keyboard skills
  • Polite, assertive manner
  • Passion for working in a client/customer facing role
  • Have an interest and genuine concern for homelessness and related issues
  • Experience of working in a residential or institutional or similar
  • Knowledge of voluntary and statutory agencies

Our services include outreach to rough sleepers, supported accommodation (direct access hostels, move-on accommodation, and resettlement flats), day centres, community support, housing first and landlord support services.
