Job Summary

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Team Leader supports the development of the manufacturing plan and coordinates the release of manufacturing jobs across multiple manufacturing cells to enable Operations meet Customer Demand while achieving the required Safety, Quality and Delivery and Cost goals.

The Team Leader leads the tactical deployment of Production Associates within the manufacturing teams and works with the Operations Trainer to ensure all Production Associates are fully trained with up-to-date training records.

All Team Leaders are expected to support and execute the production plans and strategies developed in line with site Goals/Objectives and aligned with business philosophies of Integer Ireland International Research & Development Centre Galway. The role may include a variety of job related tasks, which may not be specific to this position profile and the Team leader can occasionally be required to fill in for the Production Supervisor when needed.

Role & Responsibilities of the Team Lead

Monitor ergonomic & safe work practices for all employees in the area

Report any injury or near misses to the Supervisor/ health & safety officer immediately. Encourage production associates to record safety concerns on Dakota.

Ensure that all shift efficiency and quality targets are met and provide the Supervisor with timely feedback on discrepancies displaying urgency when required.

Ensure all routers are run according to the schedule

Ensure the area is properly organized to maintain 5s

Ensure chemical presses are maintained and actions from audits implemented

Ensure quarterly audit actions are completed and communicated to Supervisor.

Monitor employee’s progress during probation and provide feedback to the Operations Supervisor.

Motivate employees and maintain good morale in the department

Ensure all raw material is issued to jobs and accounted for.

Ensure the team is tracking all Scrap to individual Scrap Codes 

Ensure all documentation is accurately completed before submitting

Support and Complete Cycle Counting Responsibilities for designated Lines or Inventory locations.

Be observant and ensure defects are reported

Must be able to perform all elements of work in the area

Must continuously monitor new and existing employees to ensure standard work techniques are being adhered to complete the work safely

Provide support to all employees to ensure compliance with SOPs and standard work procedures

Identify opportunities for improvement and report to the Supervisor

Be an active member of LRM team and work with all employees to develop a world class lean manufacturing system

Carryout lean/ CI projects identified by the supervisor

Co-ordinate with all departments in an effective and professional manner

Maintain employee relations to the standards required by Integer, including a variety of job related tasks, which may not be specific to this positions profile.
