About This RoleAs a global leader in Civil Aviation training, our Commercial Aviation Training Centre at Gatwick are now seeking permanent SFI/Examiners to join our team and support our Airbus airline clients at LGW.You will support airline clients delivering training and or checking primarily on the Airbus A320 and /or A330/A350 fleets. Courses delivered will be type rating, LPC/OPC and internal training courses. Preference will be given to those already holding training and or examining qualifications (SFI/TRI and or SFE/TRE).You will be keen to deliver excellent training and have a passion for doing your best for the customer. We will build upon your existing experience as an aviation professional and transform you into a world-class Synthetic Flight Instructor and subject matter expert, ready to lead clients through their training – all with the added benefit of spending less time away from home.You will work alongside our client partners, providing expert Synthetic Flight instruction. In addition, you will be responsible for the upkeep of accurate and concise trainee records. You will also get to work with state-of-the-art synthetic training equipment and the very latest aircraft technologies.Our ideal candidate hasHeld a UK, EASA or ICAO equivalent licence1500 hours or more total multi-pilot timeRecent instructional experience – TRI/TRE/SFI/SFE preferable and/or teaching experiencePrevious experience operating within a Commercial Aviation environment with experience on A320 and /or A330/A350A keen eye for detail in training delivery – you must be willing to maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with CAE policy and requirementsAbility to tailor training sessions to the needs of a diverse customer baseBasic computer proficiency – Microsoft Office and other internet-based programsMust read, speak, and converse in English at a high levelFlexibility to commit to a full time, permanent position on a shift pattern (occasional weekend working)Must live in commutable distance to Gatwick (ideally within a 1-hour drive / 30 miles or willing to make appropriate arrangements to stay locally)The right to live and work in the UK is desirableWhat kind of person will succeed in this team?You’ll be someone who thrives on mentoring and developing industry colleagues from diverse backgrounds and be passionate about delivering a high standard of training.
