It’s an opportunity to be part of something special.Role OverviewThe Manager, Supplier Account Manager, part of the Global Procurement and WPS organization, will be responsible for the development and management of the relationship with our partners. Following our Partners for Growth programme, the Supplier Account Manager will own the relationship and overall performance of the partners in scope and will act as an enterprise leader on behalf of Haleon, collaborating closely with a wide network of stakeholders and the procurement organization.In this role you will…Become the expert of our Partner for Growth process, and of your partners.Drive supplier relationships to deliver competitive advantage. Design and implement governance, ensure supplier delivery on Big Bets and associated plan & KPIs, drive future innovative opportunities.Ensure consistent messaging from Haleon. Coordinate preparation of Top to Top and QBR meetings with Executive Sponsors & CPO, ensuring representation of all Categories/BUs involved.Lead and manage high complexity multi-faceted supplier relationships partnering with our x-category Procurement leaders, Business leaders and Industry leaders to gain competitive advantageBuild & deliver strategic impact through Supplier Strategy Development focused on Innovation accelerationKey Responsibilities
- Develop vendor and market knowledge
- Become an expert of the partner in scope and develop deep understanding of the partner’s organization, decision making process, priorities, financials, ambition, strategic agenda, etc.
- Understand industry & market trend where the Partner is active
- Develop deep understanding of Haleon’s requirements and ambition with the partners for all stakeholders involved in the relationship
- Develop a stellar network of Sr leaders internally & externally
- Ensuring effective communication and representation of Category strategies, programs, and performance to all key-stakeholders
Strategy and long term plan
- Develop the partner’s relationship strategy to enable Growth and Innovation as per Haleon’s strategic requirements
- Identify common strategic objectives with the partner : Build & deliver strategic impact through Supplier Strategy Development with a focus on Growth & Innovation acceleration
- Influence partner’s strategic agenda to align with Haleon’s
- Identify a detailed action plan to achieve strategic objectives
Performance Management
- Lead for the overall partner’s performance
- Demonstrate through effective measurement and performance systems that key suppliers in scope continue to be our most trusted, capable & innovative suppliers to deliver business agenda
- Develop effective measurement and performance systems, and ensure partner deliver in line with contract
- Deliver performance-based contract strategy to enhance economic value
- Ensure supply and quality related risks are controlled and mitigated including quality and regulatory compliancy
Develop partners
- Be the voice of Haleon, and ensure ONE voice across the organization: Responsible for the supplier engagement strategy and associated narrative
- Develop and own the governance framework that will support the strategic ambition and common strategic objectives
- Ensure effective communication and representation of Haleon and Category strategies, programs, and performance to all key-stakeholders
- Ensure knowledge retention and management is continuous
- Track action plans to ensure completion of the strategic ambition
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives with the partners to ensure they remain long term partners with Haleon
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum Level of Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree
- Area of Specialisation: Procurement, Business, Finance, Supply Chain
- 5s+ years of operational Procurement experience
- Knowledge of Procurement tools such as sourcing, quotation analysis, contract negotiation, supplier review, supplier development and others
- Demonstrated expertise in managing categories, particularly category strategy development and implementation, stakeholder management and supplier relationship management
- In-depth understanding of external environment and supplier relationship models
- Strong knowledge of finance (cost benchmark, financial audit with key suppliers) and legal matters (contracting)
- Clear understanding of business value, business priorities, and potential implementation risks
- Significant experience working in a matrix (global/ regional) business environment
- Strong networking skills and a proven ability to build productive and collaborative relationships with stakeholders and business partners
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks across multiple projects using project management skills
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communications, and influencing skills
- Ability to work in high pressure environment, often under tight deadlines
- Experience with risk management
