Our client is seeking a motivated and strategic Stock and Purchasing Manager to join their team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting new position within the company, offering the opportunity to shape and lead the inventory and purchasing functions. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing stock levels, enhancing purchasing strategies, and driving overall efficiency and profitability.This role requires you to be based on-site.Compensation: €40,000.00 – €45,000.00 per annumKey Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control stock levels to ensure a balance between product availability and avoiding overstocking to meet customer demand.
  • Develop and execute purchasing strategies that align with business goals while focusing on cost-effectiveness.
  • Analyze sales trends, market conditions, and seasonal factors to forecast demand and adjust buying plans accordingly.
  • Oversee the entire order process, from placing orders to receiving and storing products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout.
  • Manage the procurement budget by tracking expenses and optimizing spending to achieve cost savings.
  • Ensure that all purchasing and stock management activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Generate and analyze reports on stock levels, purchasing activities, supplier performance, and other key metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Lead and develop store teams by providing guidance, training, and performance management. Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements in stock management and purchasing, integrating best practices and new technologies.
  • Assess and mitigate risks related to inventory shortages, supplier reliability, and market volatility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role with a strong track record in inventory control and procurement.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, purchasing strategies, and stock management principles.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
