Amazon Australia’s Retail Team, located in Sydney is looking for a passionate owner to lead the Customer Product/Programs Team. This role is the single threaded Leader for all Customer programs in Australia including Subscribe & Save, Amazon Basket, Everyday Essentials and Parent experience. It reports to the Consumables Retail Director and has strong visibility across AU’s SLT being responsible for some of AU’s largest big bets and HVA’s. It plays a coaching role for a strong PM team requiring people development.

The individual will be both a player and a coach with exceptional multi-tasking skills, able to re-balance priorities and seamlessly transition between the short-term and laying the foundations for scale in the long term with in-depth knowledge of product roadmaps, and strong commercial acumen to influence multi-level/-functional stakeholders. This role will work with home teams, operations and vendor management to influence the strategy across Everyday Essentials, Subscribe and Save and an exciting set of unique programs, each with their own customer and operational nuances . SnS is responsible for the stickiest Prime Member customer cohort in AU covering top GLs Grocery, Pet, Drugstore and Beauty. This role works closely with local and global teams that cut across the organization including tech teams, category leadership, customer service, marketing, finance and legal. It develops and influences the home team’s initiative roadmaps and holds program stakeholders accountable. For program growth, it must influence multi-function ex. holding vendor management responsible for negotiating selection expansion and campaign delivery. Given the large volume share of the program and high velocity, it must also navigate operational volatility in scalable ways to deliver against customer promises. This is a critical role needing a Think Big leader with exceptional Have Backbone, Earns Trust and ARAL with sound business judgement in setting the pace for long term customer growth in the midst of ambiguity. A strong L7 candidate brings expertise from an established locale, and will have a deep level of Consumables/Stores, product knowledge, and core input expertise (selection, pricing, availability, delivery) with a clear track record of leading and developing high performing teams (Hire&Develop).

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • 6+ years of team management experience

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience engaging and influencing senior executives
