We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team working with our major client – Placemaking NSW. Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for owning the strategic sourcing, tendering process, contract lifecycle management and supplier performance management, with a focus on both Hard and Soft Facilities Management Services.

Located at The Rocks and Darling Harbour, this role is being offered on a permanent part time basis of 22.5 hours per week. We are flexible with days and hours, depending on what works best for you.

Here’s what you will focus on:

• Develop and assist with the implementation of strategies and solutions to optimise building operation and maintenance cost across the client’s portfolio

• Assume responsibility for the management of new and existing contract life cycles and negotiations of suppliers delivering hard and soft services

• End to end management of procurement process for select Capital Works Projects and operational contracts

• Assist with contract and scope development, administration of contracts, ensuring supplier performance and contract compliance

• Manage preferred supplier agreement tenders and provide tender analysis

• Monitor and manage vendor performance and service delivery including KPI reporting

Your Background:

• Sound experience in Procurement / Contract management with specialist expertise in both Hard and Soft Facilities Management Services or related role.

• Government procurement experience will be highly regarded

• Relevant Tertiary qualification in supply chain, law, engineering or property

• Knowledge of contract law and its application in the purchasing process

• Experience in contract negotiation and managing KPI /contractor performance

• Sound knowledge and competent in the application of Statutory Legislation including the Modern Slavery Act 2018

• An ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders and build strong working relationships
