Summary
Technical liaison between our R&D group and our supply base for sourced components and products. You will be responsible for developing and ramping up the supply base for new product introductions, ensuring that all components are purchased for engineering builds as well as production. Responsibilities will include should cost analysis, material cost negotiations, material cost reports and schedules. Additional responsibilities will include supply base risk mitigation activities and cost savings identification. You will work with R&D, quality, operations, and the supply chain to ensure clarity of requirements through collaboration and communication. You will be responsible for all procurement related project activities.
Responsibilities:

Ensure project teams adhere to strategic direction of Global Sourcing, purchasing controls and regulatory requirements related to development projects

Negotiate and implement contracts and agreements (NDA’s, SOW’s, developmental agreements) supporting R&D
-
Execute RFQ’s and business award
-
Perform formal supply chain risk analysis and propose and develop mitigation strategies

Negotiate supplier cost reductions and NRE reductions during product development and continuous cost reduction initiatives through the project lifecycle

May lead supplier portions of the projects
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or Supply Chain Management, required

4 years engineering or supply chain management supporting new product introductions, required

Medical Device, Pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industry experience, highly preferred

Strong influencing and negotiation skills

Ability to negotiate effectively to obtain best prices and terms on products, materials, and services

Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within all levels of the organization

Ability to read, interpret and translate engineering drawings
-
Ability to recognize risks and propose and develop contingency plans
