Department Overview

Innovation is the oxygen of our company, and in 2023, we invested more than US$850 million in research and development (R&D). We’re now opening a new Research & Development Centre in Cork, Ireland focused on designing software for the company’s comprehensive land mobile radio (LMR) portfolio, with plans for expansion across other technologies in the future.

Job Description

We’re looking for a skilled DevOpsEengineer to join our team of innovative engineers who are consistently raising the bar on creativity and user experiences. Responsibilities include but notlimited to:

• Design and implement improvements on current SCM/DevOps practices to stay on top of iindustry standard best practices with emphasis on automation.
• Implement automation strategies, effective monitoring, deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Build and release engineer.
• Inter-group and intra-group teamwork in a multi-site world-wide development environment.

Basic Requirements

Preferred Skills:

• Practical knowledge of Git
• Experience in Linux OS as a user
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration tools, preferably Jenkins
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS/Azure)
• Knowledge of Docker containerization
• Scripting languages: Bash, Perl, Python
• Programming languages, Groovy, Java, C++
• Tools: Git, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Jenkins, Sonarcube, Klocwork, Gradle, Maven, MySQL
• Infrastructure: Linux, AWS, Azure, Dockers
• A drive towards automating repetitive tasks (e.g. scripting via Python, Bash, Groovy)
• Willingness to learn and apply new technologies through self-learning
• Ability to work independently but also be a team player

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required; major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
• 5 to 7 years of team software development/testing experience
