The most fulfilling work of your career is waiting for you at ST Engineering iDirect…imagine your talent and energy paired with our vision and technical leadership: the sky is the limit!The Solutions Sales Engineer will play a key role in supporting iDirect’s Excelerator Partner Program by enabling partners, system integrators, and customers to integrate and deploy solutions built on the iDirect platform. This role will serve as the key technical liaison, ensuring seamless implementation, validation, and adoption of third-party solutions in collaboration with iDirect’s ecosystem of partners.The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in network solutions, IoT, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and satellite communication technologies, combined with a business-oriented approach to partner engagement and solution adoption. Responsibilities:Technical Enablement & Solution Validation:
- Test and validate new partner solutions for compatibility and performance on iDirect platforms.
- Lead deep architectural discussions and design exercises to develop integrated, world-class solutions for partners and customers.
- Support deployment, staging, and implementation of solutions at customer locations, including technical training and documentation.
- Work closely with Market Development and Product Management to align partner solutions with iDirect’s product roadmap and emerging customer needs.
Partner & Customer Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with solution partners, system integrators, and customers, ensuring technical alignment and support.
- Act as a trusted advisor to partners by providing architectural guidance and solution recommendations to accelerate engagement.
- Serve as a strategic technical leader in the field, collaborating with partners to promote and accelerate solution engagements worldwide.
- Ensure customer success by assisting partners in integrating solutions on iDirect platforms.
Sales & Business Support:
- Support pre-sales activities, providing technical training, solution demonstrations, and integration insights to channel partners.
- Work with the sales team to formulate and execute strategies for partner-led solution sales.
- Act as an Excelerator Solutions evangelist, educating partners and customers on the value of iDirect’s ecosystem.
- Author and contribute to customer-facing technical documentation, including white papers, blogs, and proof-of-concepts.
Technical Support & Ecosystem Management:
- Manage and prioritize the support queue for third-party solutions, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and acting as the primary liaison between iDirect’s support teams and application partners.
- Provide hands-on technical support to system integrators and application partners to ensure seamless deployment, integration, and performance optimization of solutions on the iDirect platform.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or partner technical support role within networking, cloud, or satellite communications.
- Strong understanding of IP-based networking, IoT architectures, and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Experience in solution design, validation, and deployment, preferably in enterprise networking, telecommunications, or IoT.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with partners and customers at both technical and business levels.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred:
- Experience with satellite communications, network optimization, Media and Broadcast solutions and security solutions.
- Experience with IoT Integration and Edge Computing – Understanding of IoT device management, data transmission protocols, and edge computing architectures for optimizing connectivity in remote environments.
- Hands-on experience with IoT connectivity solutions and satellite IoT for seamless integration of sensor networks, telemetry, and automation in industrial and enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of cloud-based and IP-based broadcast solutions – Experience in cloud-hosted media distribution platforms and IP networking for media applications.
- Hands-on experience with integration of third-party applications and managed services in a multi-vendor ecosystem.
- Familiarity with link budget analysis, network design, and RF engineering principles.
- Prior experience in technical sales enablement, channel partner support, or managed services delivery.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, global environment.
Additional Information
- Domestic and international travel required to customer offices, project sites, and training locations (up to 30-40%).
