You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining valuable insights and hands-on experience in the field of data science within the aviation industry.Responsibilities:

• Assist senior data scientists and engineers in data collection, cleaning, and transformation specific to air transport industry datasets, including flight data, passenger data, and operational data.
• Participate in exploratory data analysis (EDA) to extract insights and identify trends relevant to air travel challenges.
• Develop and implement basic machine learning models for tasks such as anomaly detection, route optimization, and passenger segmentation under the guidance of senior team members.
• Create clear and concise data visualizations to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences in the air transport industry.
• Document data analysis and modelling processes for reproducibility and knowledge sharing.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, particularly those relevant to the air transport industry.

QualificationsQualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of Python for data manipulation and analysis. Familiarity with libraries like Pandas and NumPy is a plus.
• Basic understanding of statistical concepts such as hypothesis testing and regression analysis.
• Experience with data visualization tools is preferred (mention specific tools used by SITA, if known).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of data science, particularly within the air transport domain.
