DepartmentSoft FM Services are responsible for cleaning and portering services to the university’s academic, administrative and residential estate. Soft FM facilitates all university key events, such as graduation and open days and ensures areas are prepared for other events such as receptions and summer conferences.Duties of the RoleThe person undertaking this role will report to the Head of Soft FM Services in our Colchester site, but on a daily basis will work under the support of the Senior Facilities Manager in Southend. The person will lead all Soft Services activities across our Southend and Loughton sites, with occasional travel required to Loughton (paid for by the university). This is an opportunity for the successful person to put their professional stamp on these services, improving and standardising systems and in sometimes challenging conditions.The person best suited for this role will be well organised and have a degree, an equivalent level qualification or equivalent experience.
