What will the role look like?Reporting into the Ingredients QEHS Team Leader, you will work collaboratively with both the Ingredients and Site QEHS department to support QEHS function. You will communicate, advise and comply with Arla Foods and AFI standards and policies, as well as the applicable legislation and requirements from our customers.Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Deputise Ingredients QEHS Team Leader
  • Supports the QEHS function ensuring relevant certifiable standards/policies, customer demands, legislation and local standards for the Ingredients Department
  • Support the completion and follow up on internal and external audits.
  • Support reviews and amendments on Risk Assessments and SOPs, including document control.
  • Uses LIA to report observations and process deviations.
  • Processes Quality Incident Reports and Non-Conformance reports.
  • Contribution to the HACCP for Ingredients
  • Lead CCP training for operators.
  • Complete sample preparation alongside TV laboratory team.
  • Maintain analytical equipment.
  • Participate in quality or safety related projects and problem solves to share specialist knowledge to deliver continuous improvement.
  • Reporting on incoming analysis results.
  • Overseeing customer and supplier complaints.
  • Collaborating across teams and departments.
  • Setting personal day-to-day objectives.
  • Contribute to QEHS periodic reviews and annual Management Review.
  • A safe workplace and a pleasant working environment.
  • Release of product to meet orders.
  • Holiday cover for the logistics coordinator together with the QEHS TL.
  • Support weekly environmental monitoring programme.
  • Daily Reporting, Follow-up and Handover of ongoing issues and tasks.
  • Participate and contribute to team meetings
  • Updating daily KPIs.
  • Participates in relevant training courses and other development activities

Background/experienceThe ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of dairy or a food process background
  • A structured approach to optimisation & problem solving
  • Quality experience (HACCP Level 3 & Food Hygiene Level 3 training)
  • Health, Safety & Environment training or work experience would be desirable

Key competencies:

  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • A high degree of self-motivation & the ability to work individually and in teams
  • Competent SAP user would be desirable
  • Experience with Microsoft Applications
  • Data management & trend analysis
  • HACCP
  • Quality audits
