Our client is one of Ireland’s leading residential developers, renowned for delivering high-quality and innovative housing projects. Due to ongoing growth and the launch of new developments, they seek an experienced Site Manager to join their team on projects in West Dublin.Position Overview:The Site Manager will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of residential construction projects. Working under the direction of the Project Manager and in collaboration with the full project team, the Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the site to ensure the timely and efficient completion of the development.Key Responsibilities:Daily Site Management: Oversee all activities on-site, ensuring construction processes are followed to plan and executed safely, efficiently, and within the project timeline.Team Coordination: Direct and manage on-site staff, subcontractors, and trades, ensuring that they are performing in alignment with project goals. Communicate daily tasks and responsibilities based on the overall project plan.Health & Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce rigorous health and safety policies and procedures on-site. Conduct regular safety audits, toolbox talks, and maintain records to ensure compliance with industry standards.Progress Reporting: Report daily progress to the Project Manager, highlighting any deviations from the construction schedule, and collaborate on solutions to keep the project on track.Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of work carried out meets the client’s expectations and all construction standards. Perform regular inspections and address any quality issues immediately.Material and Resource Management: Monitor and manage the delivery and use of materials and resources on-site, ensuring efficient usage to avoid delays or wastage. Liaise with the Project Manager for any material orders or changes.Subcontractor Management: Coordinate with subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to the project schedule and quality requirements. Address any issues related to subcontractor performance swiftly.Programme Adherence: Assist the Project Manager in monitoring the construction programme, advising on any delays and working to mitigate risks to project deadlines.Client Interaction: Represent the site to the client when necessary, attending site meetings and communicating site progress and any issues to the client through the Project Manager.Documentation and Record Keeping: With the assistance of the Site Clerk, maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, timesheets, safety records, and construction logs. Ensure all required documentation is submitted to the Project Manager as needed.Qualifications and Skills:Experience: Proven experience as a Site Manager on residential construction projects is essential, with a deep understanding of construction processes, timelines, and challenges specific to residential developments.Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and oversee teams on-site.Health & Safety: In-depth knowledge of construction health and safety regulations and best practices.Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with the project team, subcontractors, and clients.Problem-solving: A proactive and solutions-oriented approach, with the ability to anticipate and resolve on-site issues.Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations in Ireland, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans.Organisation: Well-organised with strong time management skills to handle multiple priorities on-site.Whats on Offer:A competitive salary of up to €100,000 plus vehicle or allowance, bonus, pension and healthcare.Opportunity to work with a leading developer on high-profile residential projects.Clear career progression opportunities.Application Process:Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their CV, highlighting their relevant residential construction experience.
