Project Duration: 5 months (with potential for future projects in the area)
Project Type: Residential ConstructionOverview:Optimize are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Engineer to join our dynamic team for an exciting residential project in Limerick City. This project involves the construction of approximately 40 and 30 houses on two adjacent sites. The initial project duration is set for 5 months, with the possibility of involvement in future projects in the area.Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage daily site operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Provide technical advice and expertise on all construction aspects, ensuring compliance with engineering and safety standards.
  • Utilise total stations and GPS equipment for accurate site surveying, setting out, and leveling of structures.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure construction work adheres to design specifications and quality standards.
  • Implement and maintain health and safety protocols on site, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Maintain comprehensive site records, including progress reports, site diaries, and material requisitions.
  • Identify and resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during the construction process.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in residential construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with total stations and GPS surveying equipment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Relevant professional certifications and memberships are advantageous.
