One of Ireland’s leading construction contractors are looking for a Site Engineer to work on a major commercial project in Cork. In this role, you will be responsible for setting out the site and managing dimensional controls based on contract drawings, specifications, and surveys. Your role ensures that all tolerances are met without affecting quality or reducing floor space. You will review construction progress and plan the most efficient work sequence, focusing on work control, quality, and providing technical advice.Benefits:

Responsibilities

• Set out work according to drawings, specifications, and site surveys.
• Check materials and ongoing work to ensure they meet requirements.
• Work with project planners on construction schedules and supplier management.
• Contribute to Inspection and Test Plans, ensuring the supply chain provides the necessary test data for contract requirements.
• Maintain a drawing register and ensure subcontractors use the latest versions of contract drawings and specifications.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience, with good knowledge of the industry or project-based work.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to deliver reports clearly and persuasively.
• Shows initiative, resilience, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, acting professionally and independently.
