Our client is an award-winning, Midlands-based building contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects across the Midlands counties. With an expanding portfolio of exciting projects, they are seeking a motivated and experienced Site Engineer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will initially work on a residential project in Co. Laois, followed by a project in Co. Kilkenny in March or April of 2025.Key Responsibilities:Project Execution: Assist in managing the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.Setting Out: Carry out accurate setting out, levelling, and surveying duties on-site using equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser levels.Coordination: Work closely with the project management team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.Quality Control: Oversee adherence to building regulations, safety protocols, and project specifications, ensuring quality at all stages of construction.Document Management: Manage site documentation, including drawings, plans, records, and reports.Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve technical issues or discrepancies on-site to maintain project momentum.Health & Safety: Ensure all site operations comply with health and safety regulations, fostering a safe and efficient working environment.Requirements:Educational Background: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.Experience: Minimum of 3+ years’ experience working as a Site Engineer, with a proven track record in setting out on construction projects.Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in setting out, levelling, and surveying techniques using industry-standard equipment.Knowledge: Excellent understanding of building regulations, construction processes, and project management principles.Communication: Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with various teams.Attention to Detail: Sharp problem-solving skills and an eye for detail, ensuring high standards of quality on site.IT Skills: Competence in software such as AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Office.On Offer:Competitive Salary: Attractive remuneration, commensurate with experience.Benefits Package: Comprehensive benefitsCareer Progression: Excellent opportunities for career advancement and professional development within a growing company.Project Location: All projects will be in the Midlands or the surrounding area.
