Sister / Charge Nurse – Oncology & Medical (Band 6)
Location: London
Permanent, full-time – 37.5 hrs a week (Nights only)
Salary: c£44,000 – £51,000 (including London uplift) + shift allowancePulse is working alongside on of the largest private hospitals in London. As a Sister/Charge Nurse, you will play a critical role in leading a nursing team within a 17-bed Oncology & Medical unit and two Neuroendocrine suites, providing exemplary care to oncology and medical patients.You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver expert support throughout patients’ care journeys, while fostering an environment of continuous professional development and high-quality individualized care.Key Responsibilities;

  • Ensure the highest standards of care in the clinical environment, supporting the team in delivering patient-focused services.
  • Directly manage a team of 6 nurses and 2 healthcare assistants, ensuring effective team collaboration and performance.
  • Provide advanced nursing advice and facilitate comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Supervise, mentor, and provide learning opportunities for junior staff members. Conduct performance appraisals and support team development.
  • Contribute to service development initiatives and quality improvements to enhance patient experiences.
  • Work closely with the Ward Manager and deputize in their absence, ensuring continuity of care and service delivery.
  • Engage with patients, families, and carers, ensuring compassionate and informed support throughout their journey.

Key skill sets required;

  • A current NMC Nurse registration
  • Experience in Oncology
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor and inspire a team, ensuring their professional development and performance
  • Up to date knowledge and an experience on the administration of the SACT
