Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing Australia / New Zealand provides contract GMP testing to human and animal pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and complimentary medicine manufactures, as well as an extensive range of SPF and other cosmetics testing, both in-vitro and in-vivo in accordance with a range of local and international standards. The range of testing includes microbiological and chemistry on raw materials, in process and finished products, complemented by product formulation services. We operate out of sites in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland, which are all GMP licensed by local regulators and are accredited to ISO 17025. In addition to the provision of world class analytical testing, the laboratories also provide consultative services to their clients made available by a team of highly qualified scientists.
The Shipping Coordinators primary responsibility is to Coordinate the routine and ad-hoc shipment(s) of inbound and outbound materials such as but not limited to semi-finished product, drug substance, drug product, reference reagents/standards, cell banks, QC samples and other associated materials to local and/or international locations. Shipments usually require full cold chain management and may require validated shippers and/or management of temperature tracking devices.
The Shipping Coordinator will be the central point of contact for staff requiring material shipping at Melbourne. The Shipping Coordinator will liaise with Supply Chain and Global Logistics personnel for international and GMP shipments.
Duties will include but are not limited to:

Coordinate transport and pre-packing of manufactured materials and samples for GxP and non-GxP purposes.

Receive the pre-packed materials and samples and pack it accordingly following the requirements for both GMP and non-GMP purposes.

Coordinate and check transport companies. Make sure they follow Client transport requirements before shipping any materials or samples.

Support GMP transit storage facilities and inventories.

When shipping activities are occurring in the warehouse and loading bay ensure they are kept clean and in a safe state in accordance with all warehouse OH&S requirements

Ensure export trade compliance including adherence to Trusted Trader and Known Consignor Programs. Support relevant teams to complete their IATA forms if required.

Ensure warehouse and distribution activities are GxP compliant where applicable.

Maintain and update accurate inventory records in the Inventory Management System.

Ensure stocktaking and other inventory control is maintained.

Ensure correct storage and handling for dangerous goods and ambient/cold chain items.

Review logistics volume planning and coordinate/request bookings as required with global logistics for both domestic transport bookings and international transport bookings.

Shipping Coordinator may be involved in developing 3 month rolling forecasts.

Processing & entering bookings with accuracy Liaise with transport companies to ensure delivery times

Liaise with end users by managing emails, queries & general correspondence

Converse with transport companies and end users to provide an estimated time of arrival & unforeseen delays in a timely manner

Receipt direct and indirect materials within the inventory management system and ensure Purchase Order non-conformances are documented appropriately.

Manage waste collection if needed. (Example: waste certificates)

Coordinate courier bookings to ensure customer delivery requirements are met.

Ensure warehouse consumables are managed appropriately.

Assist with data collection and reporting of Logistic KPI’s

Data entry into SAP and Microoft Office as needed
-
Keeping work areas clean, organised, neat and tidy,

Compliance with the client sites OHS / QA Systems and regulatory requiremens.

Assisting in the development and implementation of continuous improvement project activities,
-
Other duties as required

Act in accordance with the Eurofins Code of Ethics, and all other relevant policies and procedures, as updated from time to time.

Degree trainee or TAFE certificate in an appropriate scientific / logistics field (Scientific industry experience may be used in lieu of Degree trainee or TAFE certificate).

Relevant exposure and knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Good team player, organised, accurate, have strong documentation skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Familiarity and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and SAP

Flexible, adaptable to changing priorities

Good communication skills both internally and externally. Capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams
