Our shareholders form a critical part of our stakeholder base and communicating with this group on an ongoing basis is a key part of our overall corporate communications.

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Corporate Communications Team in the role of a Shareholder Relationship Manager. The Shareholder Relationship Manager role will ensure that all our shareholders feel connected to the business with a clear understanding of its strategy, performance and vision for the future.

Reporting to the Head of Communications, the Shareholder Relationship Manager will work with the Head of the Family Council, the Chief Financial Officer and the Legal & Company Secretarial team, the non-executive Directors and the wider communications team to develop and deliver effective shareholder communications aligned with the business strategy. The Shareholder Relationship Manager will be responsible for developing and enhancing the integral shareholder relationship on behalf of Musgrave.

Key duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

Communications

  • Provide support to the family directors and the Head of Family Council in their endeavour to create and develop strong communication links with shareholders and family members
  • Communicate all relevant and appropriate information to shareholders in coordination with the business, the family directors and the Head of Family Council
  • Develop and deliver a wide ranging and robust Shareholder Communications plan with communication materials including:
  • Shareholder website / information packs
  • Annual Report
  • Presentations and other collateral
  • Podcasts/video
  • Development of additional platforms as appropriate
  • Tracking and measurement of shareholder sentiment and plan effectiveness
  • Provide regular progress reports on the Shareholder Communications plan and outcomes

Lead delivery of the Shareholder Engagement Programme

  • Establish, manage and organise the annual calendar of shareholder engagements, conferences and other family events to ensure regular engagement with shareholders in coordination with various stakeholders including but not limited to the Chairman, the business and the Head of Family Council
  • Organise and attend key shareholder meetings, where appropriate with the CEO and/or CFO and other directors
  • Manage periodic roadshow days and ensure materials are prepared as appropriate
  • Organise and attend family council meetings
  • Play a key role in the preparations for Musgrave 150th anniversary in 2026

Build and maintain Shareholder relationships

  • Support the Head of Family Council generally in matters relating to the Family Council and its functions
  • Cultivate and sustain positive relationships with our shareholders through regular communication and engagement activities
  • Act as the central point of contact for all matters relating to the family shareholders and family members
  • Act as secretary to the Family Council and to make sure records are up to date of meetings and decisions
  • Act as the secretary to the Monitoring Committee
  • Provide administrative support to the various Family Council sub-committees
  • Maintain a live up to date database of contact details for all family members
  • Create and maintain an information pack outlining information about the business including the history of Musgrave, the structure, its activities, and other relevant information in conjunction with the Head of Family Council
  • Act as the primary point of contact in assisting shareholders engage with the Musgrave Group
  • Manage any shareholder request to visit the Company and meet the directors and colleagues in coordination with the Head of Family Council
  • Respond to shareholder queries in a timely, professional and trustworthy manner

The successful candidates will possess the following:

  • Demonstrated expertise in building and nurturing relationships with key / executive stakeholders
  • Proven track record in handling sensitive information with the utmost discretion and maintaining confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills, with high emotional intelligence toeffectively engage, interact ad influence key stakeholders
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to multi-task to achieve results
  • Ability to coordinate and execute communication plans
  • Ability to organise and manage events and coordinate with third party suppliers
  • Agile and flexible to work in a dynamic and fast moving environment
  • Good knowledge of PowerPoint, presentation tools and new media
  • Proactive and organised, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • High level of accuracy, consistency and timely responses are essential
  • Flexibility to travel as and when required
